Effective 16 September 2026. These pages are a practical launch template and should be reviewed by a qualified UK legal adviser before paid advertising or unrestricted public uploads are enabled.

Necessary storage

HB Map Layers uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and protect account actions. Local browser storage remembers map-engine, display and offline preferences. Service-worker caches can store interface files, authorised overlay previews and map tiles you explicitly download.

Optional sponsor banners

The browser stores your Allow banners or No thanks preference for optional image/text sponsor banners. Sponsor images do not load before Allow banners is selected. This feature does not include ad-network scripts or tracking cookies. Change the choice in Your account → Banner preferences; clearing browser site data also removes it. If ad-network advertising or analytics are introduced, separate disclosures and the required consent controls must be added before those technologies load.

Removing local data

You can sign out, remove offline profiles or tiles from the app, clear site data in your browser or change future cookie preferences from the consent control once advertising is enabled.
